With the SaskTel Pioneers Phonebook Recycling Program, you can earn 10 cents per phonebook recycled or $25.00 whichever is greater. Your old SaskTel Phonebooks can be recycled at your nearest paper recycling bin or through a curbside recycling program. Simply, let the SaskTel Pioneers know how many phonebooks your school has recycled. Last year alone, this program helped to recycle over 50 tons of paper.
Why should I recycle my old SaskTel Phonebook?
Each time a paper recycling bin is filled with paper approximately 50 trees are saved.
What happens to my old SaskTel Phonebook once it is in the paper recycling bin?
Traditionally, paper collected in the paper recycling bins is transported to the recycling depot.
The paper is then separated, compacted and baled. The various grades of paper and cardboard are then recycled to create other useful consumer products.
